Neurology Treatment is a branch of medicine focused on the study, diagnosis, and treatment of disorders of the nervous system.

The nervous system has two major divisions:

• The central nervous system, which includes the brain and spinal cord
• The peripheral nervous system, which includes the nerves and sensory organs found outside of the central nervous system. 

A neurologist is a medical professional who focuses on neurology. Patients with accidents, illnesses, or problems of the central or peripheral nervous system are treated by neurologists.

Brain tumors, both benign and cancerous. Degenerative disorders (disorders that get worse over time) such as Parkinson’s disease, multiple sclerosis, amyotrophic lateral sclerosis (ALS), Huntington’s chorea, and Alzheimer’s disease. Neuromuscular disorders, such as Bell’s palsy, cervical spondylosis, peripheral neuropathy, muscular dystrophy, myasthenia gravis, and Guillain-Barré syndrome.

Stroke disorders such as ischemic strokes (caused by blood clots), hemorrhagic strokes (caused by bleeding in the brain), and transient ischemic attacks (TIA or “mini-stroke”)
