Established in 1958 by the late Hajj Mohammad Mehdi Ebrahimi Dari as a private charity, this center was later renamed Shahid Hashemi Nejad in September 1985. Since then, it has been the national hub for kidney disease treatment under the University of Medical Sciences in Iran. This pioneering hospital is the nation’s foremost hemodialysis and kidney transplantation center, maintaining this role for over 30 years. It’s also actively involved in training urologists and nephrologists.
